Clayton Hooks represents fellow members in District 1
New board members bring diverse skills and perspectives to PURE Co-op leadership

Though they may be rookies when it comes to service on the PURE Oil Jobbers Cooperative Board of Directors, their industry experience reflects that of seasoned veterans.
In 2010, the PURE Co-op leadership benefits from three newcomers to its board of directors –Clayton Hooks, Lynn Keffer, and James Frank Bundrant. All of the men have been active in the PURE Cooperative for some time and welcomed the chance to offer their assistance in helping direct the organization through transition and the proposed changes to how it will conduct business in the future.
Clayton Hooks has been with Craddock Oil Company in McComb, Mississippi for more than 18 years now. He started out there working at an entry level position and advanced his way up to handling wholesale fuel sales for the company.
In addition to having nearly two decades of work experience within the petroleum industry, Hooks also has spent 22 years in the military. He spent three years of active duty in the U.S. Army, nine years in the Louisiana National Guard, and 10 years in the U.S. Army Reserve, which included being deployed to the Middle East twice.
Hooks says he is interested in offering input on the image of the PURE brand, as well as serving on the supply committee. Whatever insights he can gather from service on the Co-op board will be valuable to Craddock Oil as well, he notes.
“I’m curious about the availability and potential for alternative fuels, and I hope we can keep our supply affordable while keeping an eyes open to the possibilities of other product types,” he says. “I’m optimistic about the future growth of the Co-op, as we explore areas to expand the PURE brand.”
