James Frank Bundrant (left) notes the future of the PURE Co-op is bright, thanks to an ability to be able to negotiate price. Helping the Co-op do that is Mark Johnson (right) of PEM.
Though they may be rookies when it comes to service on the PURE Oil Jobbers Cooperative Board of Directors, their industry experience reflects that of seasoned veterans.
In 2010, the PURE Co-op leadership benefits from three newcomers to its board of directors –Clayton Hooks, Lynn Keffer, and James Frank Bundrant. All of the men have been active in the PURE Cooperative for some time and welcomed the chance to offer their assistance in helping direct the organization through transition and the proposed changes to how it will conduct business in the future.
James Frank Bundrant, who represents members in District 5 on the PURE Co-op Board, is the CEO of Bundrant Car Care, Inc. in Waynesboro, Tennessee. He has been a Co-op member for 12 years, though this is his first time serving on the PURE Board of Directors. He also is sitting on the marketing committee, while remaining interested in supply arrangements for the Co-op, including the further development of the PURE brand through expansion.

“PURE has been good for our company over the years, and I want to give something back to the Co-op,” he says, when reflecting upon his decision to seek election to the board of directors.
Bundrant notes that the value of PURE membership is manifested in the Co-op being able to offer a good supply at a fair price.
“I see the Co-op having a bright future, as we are able to negotiate better pricing for our membership over the course of the next five to 10 years.”
Bundrant and his wife Sherry have four children, three of whom work in the family business, with hopes to continue the successful operation of Bundrant Car Care in the future, following his retirement.
